The Council is formed on the principles of Sikh governance with five Council members. The management of The Association is vested in The Council which is responsible for the policy and strategic direction of The Association and for agreeing any initiatives.

Advocacy Training Panel

Every Michaelmas term, the Sikhs in Law Advocacy Training Council organises an intensive
advocacy training weekend designed to enhance students’ advocacy skills. Throughout the weekend, participants engage in simulated criminal and civil cases, honing their trial techniques, crafting compelling opening and closing speeches, mastering the art of cross examination, and refining their appellate court advocacy, both written and oral. This training is facilitated by seasoned Sikhs in Law advocacy trainers with decades of invaluable experience, ensuring participants receive expert guidance and mentorship under the leadership of our Master of Advocacy Sharan Kaur Bachu.
